Charlie Kirk openly detested Jew hatred, whether on the Left or the Right. But he saw those who cloak it in “America First” rhetoric as an especially dangerous threat to the conservative movement. That includes figures like Nick Fuentes and his Groyper followers.
Charlie considered Fuentes “vermin.” When Dinesh D’Souza debated Fuentes on Alex Jones’ InfoWars, Charlie fired off a text that left no room for ambiguity:
“This was a massive mistake that you did this,” he rebuked D’Souza. “He’s vermin and you just gave him one of the biggest boosts of his career.”
In another screenshot D’Souza shared, Charlie wrote:
“You have no idea the damage you did by talking to him and complimenting him. You are making [him] even bigger. We’ve been fighting this guy for 6 years.” He added: “And you are the first mainstream voice to debate and give him a compliment. Which then makes him bigger and more powerful.”
Antisemitism as a Threat to the Conservative Movement
While Charlie would debate even the most extreme Leftists, he refused to give Fuentes or his followers the time of day. At an event with Dennis Prager, a guest asked when Charlie would “build a big tent with nationalists like Jared Taylor and Nick Fuentes.” Charlie didn’t just reject the idea—he condemned it in the strongest terms:
“I don’t align with Jew haters, sorry. Do you hate Jews by the way? Like what do you think of Jewish people?” The guest answered that he thought Jews “have a disproportionate influence on American politics,” and Charlie went on:
“One of the people you mentioned,” he said, referring to Fuentes, “says we should have a holy war against the Jews. Do you believe that?”
When the attendee tried to dodge the question, Charlie made his view unmistakably clear:
“Here’s what I’m not going to put up with: I’m not going to put up with Jew hatred in the conservative movement, in America. I’m not going to put up with that in any way, shape, or form. I’m not going to put up with it. It’s disgusting. It’s reprehensible.”
Hitler Fandom Is Not America First
Charlie didn’t fight antisemitism because he was obsessed with Jews or blindly supported the Israeli government. He supported Jews and Israel, yes, but he sometimes criticized Israel and openly challenged liberal Jews. Charlie understood that antisemitism is a symptom of a deeper rot. Nick Fuentes, for example, doesn’t just hate Jews—he openly claims to be on “Team Hitler” and a “fan” of Joseph Stalin, two dictators diametrically opposed to everything America stands for.
During one episode of The Charlie Kirk Show, a mother called in, distraught that her son had been drawn into the Groyper cult. Charlie turned to his audience with a warning:
“I hope this is a wakeup call for the audience that I don’t just fight radical Left-wing lunacy. At times, I have to fight people who have devolved into very dark stuff. It’s weird when people want to defend Hitler. If you think forever wars in America are bad, why can’t you hate a guy who started a global war completely electively, destroyed his own country, and attacked his neighbors?”
Fuentes: Dividing the Right
For his part, Fuentes openly despised Charlie and everything he stood for, while frequently adopting far-Left talking points. For example, when Charlie pushed back on the UN’s false narrative that Israel was “starving Palestinians,” Fuentes claimed that Charlie was “without a shadow of a doubt being paid by Israel.” He wasn’t—but Fuentes and his followers use a McCarthyite tactic that has proven effective: whenever someone supports Jews or Israel, accuse them of being on Israel’s payroll.
“You got to go, dude … you need to leave the stage,” Fuentes said in July after Charlie opposed the Left’s “starvation in Gaza” narrative.
Fuentes was open about his mission: to divide the conservative movement and destroy everything Charlie built.
“I took your baby, Turning Point USA, and I f***ed it,” Fuentes said on his podcast. “I just get a sick sense of satisfaction out of it… We own you, we own TPUSA, and we own this movement…Mr. ‘Family Man.’”
That’s Fuentes’ calling card: dividing the Right. He did the same thing in 2024, when he ambushed Trump at Mar-a-Lago. Trump had never heard of him and had no idea who he was. But Fuentes’ stunt damaged Trump’s campaign, exposed him to attacks from the Left, and created a media feeding frenzy.
The Bottom Line
Charlie Kirk believed that Fuentes and others like him aren’t just wrong—they are actively trying to destroy the work of generations of conservatives, to weaken the Right from within, and to attack the moral core of America itself. Charlie was clear: there is no place for this moral rot in the conservative movement.
